One of the key experiences recommended during the undergraduate time is doing an internship. My name is Nguyen Lam Kieu, undertaking an internship at IMG Education. Together with four of my intern fellows, I have been gaining my very own experience at the Department of Material Development with Ms.Mai as our leader and our main mentor. During the 3 months (originally 2) as an intern, I’ve learnt a lot of useful things for my career and my future vision.
These last few weeks have been really good to me (credits to this internship program). I have been taught a bunch of things with the huge amount of time of working with building a reasonable distribution and lessons, together with illustrative and interesting slides so that they suit with our customers’ demands.

My techniques of working with Word document, Power point have been tremendously improved and faster paced in order to keep up with a heavy work load. The most impressive things of this is the fact that I am able to acquaintance myself with the working culture including working in groups, self development and professionalism. To be really honest, I used to have the tendency of falling behind so much due to slow working speed and the inappropriate time management methods. Although there are still flaws in dealing with work (and I’m sorry so much for being late all the time, Ms.Dung :(( ), this internship has been helping me to grow.
Because of the inevitable situation of Covid-19 pandemic, I haven’t had the chance to really experience our company’s physical environment while working online and meeting through Google Meet with everyone. However, I am able to train myself to learn how to do things when applying directly what I have learnt into my actual doings, my results, my products, which in my opinion is the greatest way to teach and learn; and learn to strike the conversation to ask for advice from our superiors.
Not to mention, our company superiors have been super nice and considerate to us young interns and have been providing extra help and care, which I am really grateful for. It is my good luck that leads me to start my internship period here.
Another point that proves my luck when being given this opportunity is that I am shared the vision. At the start of the internship, there was one thing that has been keeping me hyped and excited is the big picture that was drawn. The idea of an entirely online educational system at this big scale is a first for me and I really admire and somehow really want to be a part of this cutting-edge, trend-leading framework. I am currently professionally young so I do not think I can handle, but my horizon of knowledge has been enormously widened.
